Bricked my 5770

DON’T!  I REPEAT, DON’T!!! Flash your Diamond HD 5770 Bios.  It will raep ur card.

I now have a nifty $200 paperweight sitting on my desk.  I’m also sick of the ATI drivers, so I’m going to get an NVidea GTX 260 at some point soon.

I’ve also finished my edit and I am currently batch burning DVD’s!  So glad it’s over!

It’s coming to a close!

Finally I’m beginning to render out my DVD files.  All that remains is to create the DVD menu, and it’s gunna be fun!
In the meantime, I’m listening to Wesley Willis while I wait for the encoding:
My Mother Smokes Crack Rocks
I Whupped Spiderman’s Ass
Rock And Roll McDonalds

Starting a New Business?

I’m giving it a whirl!

Birthday Tiem!!!

Today we are celebrating my mothers birthday at her parents.  Suffice to say, I will be bored, but I must tag along anyways.
I’m level 30 in WoW now.  I wanna stay home and level =p.  God this game is terrible.

Son of a B-

Of course, a few hours into WoW and out of nowhere… ATI Driver crash!  O NOES!  It’s followed me from Vista!
At least it’s not all the time now.  Just rarely.  I don’t know how to fix it.  My BIOS doesn’t have an option to change voltage to the PCIe.  A lot of people seem to experience this as well.  Come on ATI!  Fix yo’ drivers!

HAHA! Success!

I’ve done a little bit of testing, and my video card seems stable so far.  It’s not 100% confirmed, but it’s doing alright. Windows 7 is pimp.  I’m mad I didn’t get it sooner.  Kudos to me for being such a slacker.
My friend got into a car accident yesterday as she pulled out of the car lot.  YES, she JUST bought the car.  Being so excited after purchasing your vehicle can do wonders to ya.  She hit some gravel and got into the accident after driving tooooo fast.  Seems to be a pattern around here these days.  A TON of people I know seem to be driving too fast and hitting things.  Of course, I can’t really judge, I’ve had my accident too, although it wasn’t my fault.  I don’t know much about her accident other than asking her where she was, how she was doing, how bad it is, and I get this message back: “No ugh.  I’m gonna be sick.  I’ll txt you later.”  Hope she’s alright.
How’s my editing going, you ask?  Well funny you mention that.  I have some raw footage to give to someone who asked for it, and I’m going to try to package some other raw footage of the magician for him.  He’s awesome!  You should all check him out.  His name is Brandon Love and his site is HURR. Read his blogs, he’s a VERY interesting fellow.  Much more interesting than my shitty spiels.
You guys have a good day.  I have some work to do.  OUT

Done Editing for Today – Time for Play!

Alright!  Finished editing on May 29th’s events.  Now it’s time to stress my GPU, and see if I can get it to die on me again.  I hope it doesn’t, It’s a damn good card!  And after that, I’m heading to a friends to get drunk!  MUHAHAH! Life is SWEET!
Gunna begin editing May 30th’s events tomorrow, and should be done tomorrow as well.  It was only a picnic.  But I do have my interviews to disperse through the entire edit still.  We’ll see how that goes.
Writing in a blog has been fun so far, I wonder how long I will keep this up for.  It would be neat to look back at this in the future and read what I was doing when I was 20 =p.

GAME TIME MUHFAH!

Windows 7 is Perty

Well…  Luckily, everything went PERFECT.  I have all my files, everything is working, and I have Windows 7 installed.  Feels good to be a pimp.
Anyways, not much of an update here.  Reinstalling drivers and whatnot is not something exciting to write about.  However I had a problem that I hope is gone with my Video Card (Radeon HD 5770) from Windows Vista.  It would seem that my video card would freeze my computer while running graphic heavy applications such as games.  I’ve read it’s a power issue, but the problem is that my Mobo doesn’t let me adjust voltage for my PCIe.  Maybe it won’t persist in Windows 7?
Well, that’s all for now.  I have to get back to installing my applications.  It’s gunna be a fun day!  I love this stuff!

Vista x64 has been a bad boy!

So, I’m porting over all my vital edits and information onto a hard drive to begin my venture into Windows 7 x64. I hope everything turns out ok.  I’m sure it will.  If it doesn’t I’ll have to start editing all over again.  I could do it, if it came to that.  I have enough time…  I think.
Wish me luck my friends, I’ll post once I have Windows 7 up and running.  May god have mercy on my soul.

l3ardoc OUT!

More Editing *Huff*

I’ve been editing for the past week now. Every day is the same: Look at footage, pick out what pieces I want (Logging), naming the pieces, then sticking them all together in a fashion that looks good. It is trying my patience, and resolve. More than ever I find myself wandering my cursor to that damned World of Warcraft logo. I need to keep my focus. I must keep it together and finish today’s edit.
I have finished the Assembly sequence, May 28th sequence, trailer, and currently I’m working on May 29th’s sequence. I have no idea how I want the layout of the DVD to be. Perhaps when users pop it in, they will be greeted by my company logo animation, then a main menu where they can choose to view the assembly, or the days. I’ll throw in the trailer as well on a bonus section, and maybe even a message from the editor. Who knows.
Anyways, as I type this, I realize that once again I have lost focus and must return to editing. So have a good one, and I’ll see you all soon! All… 2 of you? (Including myself and The Inventor =p)
